Jack blinked. “What do you mean?”
She glanced into the patient's room, then back at Jack, a quick burst of skepticism crossing her face. “Look at him,” she urged gently. “He looks like he wants to run through the wall Looney-Tunes style just to escape a hand on his arm.”
A revealing chat with McKay brings up some unexpected questions for Jack regarding Robby's apparent aversion to touch. Being of a scientific mind, he can't abide by his previous oversight. Naturally the only course of action is to embark on a rigorous, methodical investigation into the matter. For the sake of curiosity, obviously. No other reason.

The hours in the days that follow are marked by the sunlight, and then lack thereof. Then sleep. Shower. The periods of travel are divided by the breaks when he becomes too hungry to keep going like a wind-up toy.
He'd thought he would be existing by the established shift rhythm. 8 am, 10 am, 2 pm. Hand-off.
But no. Truly, some sort of string had been cut off, somewhere between taking the bike away from the hospital parking spot and reaching the first hotel. It isn't exactly a relief, even if his body thinks it is.
Robby leaves on his Sabbatical alone, with plans. Except, technically, he's not alone. He just doesn't know it yet. No one does.

Summary
Zemo is given an ultimatum; either return to the raft, or go through the official channels to seek asylum in the US. Though touted as a diplomatic effort, it's quite obvious that there are few good intentions at play.
After so many years of amounting to little more than an inanimate object, Zemo isn't very stricken by the realization that he is a pawn in someone else's game. What concerns him is how little self-preservations the other two idiots apparently have.
As his carefully compartmentalized existence begins to crumble and old memories arise again, the aimless drift from one day to the next threatens to become intolerable. Will there be anything left to live for once the dust has settled?

Summary
Robby, frustrated, fueled from bubbling frustrations and a need for some air, heads out for a quick walk past the ambulance bay. He comes upon a man, drunken, stumbling, and tries to help.
And in turn, this both ends his plans for his sabbatical and saves his life.
Or, in which Jack returns with Howard, thinking he can have one last chance in talking to Robby, and ends up finding him-saving his life, in more ways than one.
And in the end, finding someone to spend the rest of his life with.

Robby winds around himself, almost too mortified to speak. He forces out, "You were so happy with the arrangement that I just thought it was... out of the cards."
Jack looks at him plainly. "I'm not happy. My husband is withdrawing from me. The guy I'm married to didn't seem to want me in bed with him. I thought something was really wrong, man."
"Fuck. I'm sorry." He scrapes a hand over his eyes.
Jack takes his head in his hands, forcing their eyes to meet; with great importance, he tells him, "I love you. You deserve to feel good."
