“Hey, Stevie, I'm home!” Eddie called out before closing the door and flicking on the lights to illuminate the apartment. He tossed his jacket and keys onto the kitchen counter before his eyes landed on Steve standing in the center of the room, staring straight ahead with a stoic facial expression.
“Jesus Christ!” Eddie gasped, slapping his hand over his chest. A relieving sigh fell from his lips as he recognized his roommate, his heart still thumping against his ribcage. “Fuck, dude, don't scare me like that.”
Steve remained frozen in place, eyes showing no emotion or reaction to Eddie's presence. Unnerving. Eerie. Cold.

Eddie's breath hitched once he registered who the voice belonged to, someone he'd never expected to crawl into his bed and scruff him. An alpha who wouldn't even cast his beautiful hazel eyes in the freak's direction for fear it'd taint his reputation. Gripping the handrail, Nancy stumbled down the stairs, her white shirt stained pink. She threw Jonathan a lazy smile and rested her hand on his shoulder before swaying towards the direction where her friends danced with the rest of the crowd. Jonathan frowned, brows knitted, and stared after her. What happened? Weren't they having the time of their lives only a few hours ago?
Without hesitation, Jonathan turned and followed Steve out the front entrance. An immediate calling he'd be foolish to ignore. After closing the door, Jonathan took a few steps before his gaze landed on Steve who sat on the porch steps, rubbing at his face. Holding his breath, Jonathan froze like a frightened deer, scared to make any sort of noise in case it caused the moment to splinter apart. The area was quiet, nobody else around to disturb the opportunity before him. Gaining the courage, Jonathan took control of his stiff legs and perched himself next to Steve.

After the breakup at Tina's Halloween party, Jonathan turned to comfort Steve instead of Nancy, taking a risk to hopefully spark an unexpected relationship.

"Come on. We don't have much time," the Russian guard whispered as he crouched down and reached into his pocket, pulling out a switchblade.
Steve crowded against the wall and turned his head away, quivering with his hands covering his face. "Please, please don't. Just leave me alone.” He scrunched his eyes closed, bracing for the inevitable impact.
"Sh, sh, sh. You're okay, I'm not going to hurt you," the guard cooed, his Russian accent like velvet, soothing and sincere. "I'm going to take you somewhere safe, yes?"

After the events at Starcourt, the Russians captured and dragged Steve Harrington off to their homeland. But, before they could do the unspeakable, Dmitri Antonov seized the perfect opportunity to sneak Steve away to his secluded cabin until he could safely return home.
