Athena played Zeus' game and won. But the king of the Gods doesn't take kindly to losing. While it's true that Goddesses can't die, that doesn't mean they can't suffer. And Zeus has a far more creative punishment in mind than simple lightning bolts.On Ogygia, Odysseus has just been told that he is free to leave. But in this version of the story, Hermes delivers more than a message to the king of Ithaca - he delivers a woman. A mortal woman, bound to Odysseus, forced to join him in his desparate quest to return home.

Summary
Athena's been hurt, much more thoroughly than she realized was possible. For the first time in her immortal life, she is fighting against her own body and mind, and she doesn't know how to win.
Odysseus is home. After two more weeks on sea, a fight with 108 suitors and reunited with his family, he’s quietly accepted that even a desperate prayer won’t bring his former mentor to come back. Little does he know, for two weeks, it’s all Athena’s been trying to do.
Or, what if after God Games, Athena doesn’t wake up in the infirmary? What if it’s up to a few mortals to take care of the goddess that just collapsed in their palace, looking like she should very much be dead?

When Zeus decides Percy and Annabeth's final denial of godhood is too much for his pride to take, Athena knows she has to stop him. No matter how afraid she is. No matter how hard it will be to fight through the brain fog and the seizures the last time she'd defied him had left her with. She will make sure her daughter never goes back to that cursed pit after everything she and Perseus had sacrificed.
