He grins, lowering his head as if to kiss your neck, but before his lips can press to the soft skin of your jaw, he moves closer to your ear to murmur lowly, “I’m here for something else.”
Instantly, he feels the way you stiffen in his lap, how your fingers pause their movements through his hair. It’s only a momentary lapse in your act, and he can’t deny he’s impressed by the way you shift gears quickly without breaking the sensual picture the two of you have painted for prying eyes.
“What for then?” You ditch your honeyed tone to match his serious one. You’re unable to tell exactly what he means, what else could he have come to you for?
“Information.”
Childe has never visited any of the brothels tucked into the dark corners of Liyue Harbor, as much as the citizens whisper about otherwise.
Not until he hears rumors of a new Inazuman courtesan that may of use to him.

Caleb has been moving on with his life ever since MC made it clear her heart belonged to another man, who happened to be the leader of Onychinus, and a thorn in his side anytime he tried to contact her to apologize. He had been diligently following a schedule with a therapist that came highly recommended by Zayne and made a lot of progress. That was until you came back into the picture. You were Caleb’s first and only crush outside of MC during school. Both of you shared your first kiss and would secretly hold hands in between classes, but then Caleb pulled back completely when he ultimately dedicated his entire world to MC. Now here you both were, back in each other’s orbit and trying to piece together your broken selves, wondering if second chances really do exist.
