The hotel has been open for weeks now, yet no one is interested in Charlie's ideas of redemption and peace. Without anyone to help her, the hotel itself has deteriorated, and she was starting to lose hope of anyone ever giving redemption a shot.
Until, an overlord she'd never heard of named Vox showed up at her door, offering her a deal to sponsor the hotel. The smart part of her brain told her this was a huge mistake, that it would be stupid to agree to something like this.
But, the other part thought it was a great idea. the overlord didn't want her to hurt anyone in exchange. In fact, the deal seemed to favour her a lot more than it did him.

'Isaac grimaced as he tried to huddle in closer to his horse, leeching off any heat he could from her. The snow just kept belting down onto them, there wasn’t anywhere to get even a second of respite from it, even riding near the wagons didn’t help much. Colter was baltic, the temperature seeming to drop with every step they took. He’d never experienced weather like this before, he hoped this would be the last time he ever did. He kind of wished he could have ridden in one of the wagons, his hands and feet were starting to get cold enough to be painful, his limbs strangely numb and almost ticklish. If he’d known they would be travelling into a blizzard he would have put more suitable clothes on, his jacket wasn’t nearly warm enough.'
