Amidst the hectic days leading up to the British Grand Prix, Max Verstappen found himself stopping by a small flower shop in the English town, because a friend asked for help. He had intended only to pick up some flowers and be on his way, but an encounter with George Russell, the man behind the counter, who possessed both a refined, courteous manner and a quintessentially British sense of humor, turned the visit into something far more memorable than expected.
One was a racing driver, accustomed to high speeds and the cutthroat intensity of the track. The other was a florist, living a quiet, simple life, largely unconcerned with the world of Formula 1. Amidst seasonal bouquets and casual, chance conversations, two individuals, who otherwise would have had no reason to cross paths, gradually became a part of each other’s everyday lives.

Summary

As Eddie starts to realise just how much Evan means to him and just how wrong he was about him, he starts to try and find a way to forgiveness.
Evan takes his place alongside the 118, stepping onto the slow, fragile path of rebuilding trust, claiming a found family, and learning that love does not have to be earned through survival alone.

George lets out a long breath.
Then he looks at Max as though he's about to reveal the most closely guarded secret in the world. He lifts his other hand and cups Max's face, squishing his cheeks slightly between his palms. With his right thumb, he gently brushes the skin beneath Max's eye.
Then he leans in conspiratorially and whispers:
"I need to trick the Universe."

After a string of setbacks, George experiences a relapse of his obsessive-compulsive disorder. Max really wishes he'd known about George's diagnosis before listening to all of that.

He wasn't with the 118, which continued to refuse to take him back, but was instead starting at the 217, Air Operations, as their newest pilot and technical rescue lead. It made sense: he already had the license, possessed more certifications than he knew what to do with, and could finally do everything with his prosthetic that he could do before. Almost.
The 40/60 mindset had carried him through the last two years of grueling rehab, PT, therapy, and recertifications. Now, he hoped it would be enough to get him through whatever Air Ops threw at him.

Before Erling could even process a single syllable, Jobe burst out laughing, slapping his knee as he pointed a finger straight at Harry.
"Are you mental?!" Jobe cackled, shaking his head in absolute disbelief. "You actually just told him! You absolute idiot, you just spilled the entire secret like you're reading off a grocery list!"
