Summary
War changed men. Through fire and blood, through the fog of war and the death of his friends, Eddard Stark had seen the last vestiges of his battered faith burnt to ash. Faith in Gods, faith in men.
He couldn’t keep his eyes closed after that, regardless of how much he desired to.
No more.
Eddard Stark was done believing in the vain pretences of honour and virtue.
He would not repeat the same mistakes that had led his father and his brother to an early grave. He would keep what little family remained to him safe by all means necessary, the Others take his honour.
The Gods would understand, Ned hoped.
That is, if they even cared.
Or:
In the aftermath of the Rebellion, Eddard Stark plays the game of thrones, and he intends to win. Far-reaching and unexpected butterflies ensue. This is their story.
A monster-dong, long-runner of a story.
Not a fix-it fic.

A Hold in decline. A Dalish Clan on the run. A marriage promised to further the desires of both.

The gift was one of great importance, and one that could not be un-given. Forever bonded by oath and soon enough, deed, the Dalish and Avvar each must reconcile their own cultures with the unbearable, unknowable need for the other that they felt in their chests.
Or, in short: When an Avvar man lusts for his Dalish bride, and she, in turn for him, everyone profits.

Summary
She had wandered with a cracked skull and blinded eye but the Dark Urge had always been drawn to the space below her stomach, strangely hollow— as though something had been there once, so precious and uncertain then wrenched away.
But meeting him made it real.
“We had a child,” Enver Gortash— hated enemy— told her patiently and slowly, as though all the playing cards in the world were decked in his hands. “We have a child.”
So starts their game. Quid pro pro. For every answer he gives her, she'll gift him an hour of her time.
