Summary
In which Odysseus gets blessed (or cursed- which way you look at the situation and who you talk to) by some mysterious entity (which he doesn’t remember) at the end of the Trojan war. This causes several issues, one of which is that when Odysseus dies, the time resets a certain amount. The second issue is that while he may not remember the time loop, how he died or if he died, anyone and everyone else who witnesses it sure does.
Surely these issues are manageable and won't spiral out of control.
Surely this won't go wrong in many ways.
Or, watch as Odysseus’s crew (with some help) try and get him home without going insane.
Inspired by time loop prompts, angst and finally giving into the voices in my head and thoughts.

Summary
In one world, divine intervention was placed upon Odysseus’s journey home. A time loop which regresses spectators witnessing his death on his Great Odyssey home. In another world, that divine intervention didn’t go so well.

“That was fun- but a bit boorish. I mean, who wants to sit here and listen to a voice ramble on for centuries. Not me. Well? Come play a part in the heroes' stories. Try to change a fate that is destined to happen. Choose the lesser of two evils. But remember, all your actions have consequences.”

A story divergence, where things change slightly but the outcome is drastically different.
Or, what if Diomedes’ love blossomed too quickly during Troy? What if the time loop also failed?
A recipe for disaster, that's for sure.

Summary
Diomedes loved the man, he truly did. From the Ithacan king’s smug grin to his silver tongue- and the way he would orchestrate his plans and keep the Greek camp from crashing and burning- he truly has grown to love him. But he didn’t know how much more he could take seeing someone he held so dearly skipping so close to death’s gate.
So, he takes matters into his own hands. After all, if you truly loved someone, you would do anything to keep them safe- even if it's from themselves.
Odysseus would understand. If not, he will come to understand.
He will.
Or,
A small retelling of Diomedes' love for Odysseus and his descent into obsession. An ending divergence.
