Summary
Every breath he took reminded him of the shards of Xuan Su sliding down his throat. Had he not gone through enough? The damn beast, his foolish Qi-ge… echoes of his own screams as his own body betrayed him. His hands ( dirty, small, but slender and whole ) shook, attached to limbs that did not feel like his own. What more did he have to live for? When the whole world rejected his being and welcomed a stranger into his own body? When his martial siblings ( –his Qi-ge, the only one he thought knew him– ) sat by as he was framed and condemned him?
In which Shen Jiu wakes up for a third time and slowly reshapes his shattered self with his bare hands.
