(Post 4.2 AQ) When Neuvillette learns the truth behind Furina's actions, he becomes distant and reserved with her, despite his heart's wishes. His feelings grow but he is reluctant to act upon them until an unlikely rival for Furina's heart joins the competition.
Or, when the dragon inside him is utterly fed up at the failure of a man his human self is, he takes it upon himself to secure Furina regardless of whether his main body likes it or not.

He nods. “You have done quite nicely for this being your first time, my lady. Have you been practicing?”
Her cheeks heat up, and she scrunches her face up slightly, turning her nose up. “Of course I have been! I was not born with the knowledge to tie ropes like this.”
“I see,” he says plainly. Then, “So you have been thinking of me since I first proposed doing … this a fortnight ago?”
Furina crosses her arms against her chest and turns away, almost indignant. When she next speaks, she does so with confidence he has since come to know as just acting. “And? Keep this up, and I shall untie you, and we shall do nothing more for the next fortnight!”
