In the long list of rules that Dream gave him, there were four that stuck out as the most important. Four rules that he could never break.
Stick close to the island when swimming. Always be back before seven. Never complain or hesitate to give Dream his pelt. And never, ever interact with humans.
Tommy didn’t break any of those rules often, and if he did it was a one time thing, a mistake. But this wasn’t a mistake. This was a very deliberate, very stupid move on his part and Dream would kill him if he knew what Tommy was doing. Fifteen years Tommy had lived here, and never once had he intentionally broken one of Dream’s rules. Until now.
He swims closer to the three humans.

Tommy's a selkie living isolated on an island with Dream as his caretaker. Wilbur, Techno, and Phil are the new lighthouse keepers next door. Surely there's no way for this to go wrong. -

Summary
George Davidson used to have a relatively normal childhood- except for his father. One day George witnessed something that traumatized him for life. He might not realize it but it will affect him more than he thinks sooner or later. Soon he won’t be able to bear it anymore and he goes crazy. Will he be able to get over it? Probably not. But a certain blonde doesn’t quite help him get over everything.

Summary
“Come on, Tommy, I know you can do better than that.”
Tommy takes a deep breath, shaky from holding back tears, and moves back to his starting position to try the steps again. He knows he needs to be better than this. He knows he keeps messing it up.
His feet don’t hurt anymore at least.
The music starts again and Tommy slides and spins through the steps, holding his final position with his arms outflung and his breath held, waiting. Waiting for Dream to give his verdict.
“Your footwork was sloppy,” his coach snaps. “We’ve been over and over this- I don’t know what you’re not getting about it.”or, Tommy is going to yet another dance competition. it should be normal, but this time, he can't stop himself from talking to the two friendly kids who keep sitting down with him.

“I can’t understand you, y’know. Someone took my hearing aids.” Tommy sat back in his chair with crossed arms and an agitated glare. Dream picked up the notebook that was sitting on the table and wrote aggressively, an annoyed look on his face.
