Summary
After learning the truth about Amity Tower from Blake and Yang, and then getting an invitation to dinner with the Council, Robyn takes a risk and contacts General Ironwood. She wants answers, and figures he might be the lesser evil than Jacques Schnee, and maybe, just maybe, they might be able to put their differences aside for the good of their kingdom. Ironwood, exhausted, worried and admittedly a little desperate for any help he can get, agrees to meet her, and on a balcony in the Academy, Robyn gets a lot more answers than she bargained for...
But answers aren't enough, and can they actually find enough common ground to form a united front against Jacques Schnee and his worst intentions? -

A gunshot, an explosion, and James Ironwood finds himself in darkness, buried under the ruins of the city he thought he was going to save. Ozpin’s magic is responsible, unleashed in that moment when he shot Oscar, and now James is trapped in the worst possible future with what seems to be no way back. Stranded alone in the ruins of all he ever cared about, beset by visions of the people he failed, he has no choice but to face the end result of the path he’d just started down. As he learns more and more of what his other self did in this timeline, can he be convinced that any of it was the wrong choice? And if he can, is there any way, even the slimmest hope, of being able to take it all back and try again?
(Or: James is zapped forward from the moment he shoots Oscar to the aftermath of Vol8, and gets put in apocalypse time-out to make him rethink his choices. Heavily inspired by Jayce’s Bad Future plotline in s2 of Arcane.) -

Part 3 of the ‘Just Hold On’ fix-it AU. Salem makes her entrance, and it’s up to our now-united heroes to decide how they’re going to respond. As well as defending the kingdom, they still have an ongoing evacuation to coordinate, a communications tower that they could launch, and then there’s the pressing question of what to do with the Staff of Creation. Can they stay united as they start to realise that they want to prioritise different goals?

When Nightingale asks Peter if he can take Toby and sleep in the coach house for the night, Peter doesn't find it especially weird. But when Toby starts barking in the middle of the night and won't stop, and then won't follow him back into the Folly to investigate, that's when he starts having suspicions. Because in this AU, Nightingale has another secret, and Peter is about to discover why it's unwise to go creeping around the Folly under the light of the full moon...
