Summary
An SOS message has Dunk Pennytree rolling into tiny town Missouri in the hopes that the hunt is going to be easy. It's not. Raymun wants to help and their targets? The recent move-ins. The Targaryens. What starts as a hunt going wrong becomes a trap that Dunk is ensnared inside and pretty purple eyes that decide to not let go. Dunk has a choice. His morals, or his past when the monsters become a little too enticing. Aerion Targaryen is a bunch of bad news and unfortunately Dunk can't read. Well.

Summary
Aerion lives his life like a dragon, consuming everything that has every right to be his. Until he's gone too far and he's tossed away like garbage. He's sent to nowhere Oklahoma with a bunch of bumpkins he would rather not touch with a ten foot pole. His silk shirts. His perfection and now he's stuck with some dumb group called Thunder Doom.
He's supposed to air out here, learn what he can't learn in New York City. Aerion really can't handle the bugs and the heat.
But damn, those eyes are really blue. Really, really blue and Aerion finds himself getting swept away by the world's dumbest oaf with some weird super power for feeling storms and capturing them in all their glory. He isn't going to enjoy this trip, or at least he realizes... he may have to lie to himself to survive.
And Dunk? Well Dunk is tired of babysitting Targaryens. Egg is great, but Aerion... there's something about that guy.

From his booted feet to his head, Aerion followed every visible inch of Dunk’s form with a silent, feline-like curiosity, as if seeing him as a mouse and sizing him up for a meal. It felt like an age before his eyes fell upon Dunk’s face, searching his dirtied cheeks and the blue of his eyes as if watching the clouds and consulting the weather, or checking the sky for signs of some foul sort of omen. When their eyes met at last, Aerion’s cockiness fell from his features swiftly as if Dunk had backhanded it from his face. His swagger faltered, and then his hackles were up, his lips pulling into a snarl.

With CyberLife in disarray after the android uprising -- and the red ice trade still at large -- Gavin and Nines get involved in an investigation on Zlatko Andronikov's family being one of the largest providers of the drug. The most effective method to put a stop to it involves Nines putting on the charm, but obstacles occur, and too late do they realize the danger. Keeping their feelings for one another concealed is a challenge in itself (...and Nines' constant teasing ensured that it was only a matter of time before Gavin's metaphorical leash would snap.)
