Summary
The first couple of dollars that the machine ate up without remorse were an annoyance, something that made Dennis sigh and unzip his wallet without thinking about it to try again. By the time that the vending machine had eaten seven whole dollars, in coins, and Dennis didn’t have anything to show for it, he was close to thumping his forehead against the cool glass and hoping he could derive some sort of enjoyment or nourishment from simply just looking at the colourful packages as they remained firmly in their coils.

5 times + 1 that Robby buys something for Dennis and makes him feel like he's about to keel over, right there and then.

Summary
It didn’t take long for Santos to notice that after Whitaker moved in, he never really… moved in. Sure he slept here, and his few depressing bags from the eighth floor were here, but her warning about minding his business and keeping to himself seemed to have had a much more potent effect than she thought. It had been weeks and his dishes hadn’t shown up in the cabinets, his food hadn’t shown up in the fridge, hell his toothbrush hadn’t even shown up in the damn bathroom. Like, was he not brushing his teeth? What was going on there?

Summary
“Dr. Robby, I— I see your energy’s back.”
The friendly smile he was trying to offer was wiped from his face the moment he looked at his attending. Robby was staring at him as if seeing Dennis for the first time in his life. It wasn’t the fleeting, amused look with which his eyes had rested on the young man earlier during the day, but something fixed, almost voracious.
“Whitaker,” Robby growled, “you have to go.”Bookmarked by Karfu678

Summary
Dr. Robby is too old for this. Too old to be losing sleep over a resident.
It starts slowly. Favours and conversation. Things that last longer than they should.
Clearly there is nothing to discuss since the whole thing is just a temporary lapse in judgment.
Still, the way Dennis looks at him makes everything harder…And Robby, who has spent his entire life being careful, realises he may have already passed the line of no return.Slowburn, the chapters get longer as we go, cuz I get greedy
