Summary
Percy and the Seven have made it through the war with Gaea. They are alive and free and able to finally live. Annabeth and Percy are on their way to graduation, Jason and Leo spend their time at their camp, Piper is off with her girlfriend, Hazel and Frank are thriving at camp Jupiter, and Nico is finally happy.
For once their lives are golden.
Until little by little their need for hunger and hygiene starts to dwindle. Debilitating pains rack their bodies, and tastes they have never tasted before fills their mouths. They hope that without worrying, without thinking of it, that it will all go away. But even had the fates ever listened to them?
It isn’t until Dionysus realizes what is happening, that there is light in their corner. Slowly their world starts to get brighter again. With the help of Dionysus and Chiron they are set for a quest. A quest that if they are not careful, they will lose theirselves.
Will they make it? Or will they fall through the cracks? Turning into what they have always feared, their parents.

Percy jackson has noticed something changing, the way his hair stays perfectly groomed, even after nights plagued by terrors and tossing and turning, how he hasnt felt hunger in days? Weeks? He doesnt know.
Its not just him either, other demigods have begun to notice things, things about themselves that seem unsettlingly divine...A year after the second giant war and the defeat of gaea, the seven (and freinds) begin their journey to eternity, to godhood. Or maybe they manage to fight it...

Nico’s face begins to burn. He has to fight through it. “Um. It’s just that I’m not very close to them. I never was, not on the Argo II, and I don’t think we ever will be–” Will tries to interrupt, but Nico keeps talking– “We’ll unpack that later. But Jason wants me to be close with them, to be a part of their big friend group, so he keeps dragging me along to their hangouts. It doesn’t work.” Nico finishes with an exhale as he watches the last words escape him. He didn’t realize how much of a weight they were, and he didn’t realize he could talk openly to Will. His face burns a bit more at that last realization (oh my gods I can’t say that to Will Solace), so he sticks his hand back in the pieces pile.
“Nico,” Will says. Nico looks him in the eye. “You’re always welcome to join my hangouts, if you wish.”
Something flutters in Nico’s stomach. He doesn’t mind. “Oh, uh, thank you.”
Since the battle against Gaea was won, Nico has spent his days dragged to hangouts with the seven by Jason. He finds an escape in an ominous invitation from familiar stranger Will Solace.

Taako wasn't supposed to give a shit. He was the one who could push for the hard choice in their group, who could turn away from a world and let it crumble to dust behind them. He'd done it twenty one times now, doing it once more shouldn't be an issue.
This was all the beach year's fault. That damn ocean had worn away the sharp edges he'd had in place to protect himself from shit like this, and he hadn't been able to build them back up in time. He'd never admit it, but kids had always been a particular soft spot for him.
