Summary
The wrappers look a little more colourful than usual through the packaging but he isn’t super concerned by that since the outside still proclaimed them to be Always brand 10 hour pads. Or at least he isn’t concerned until he pulls out a pad to find a not so discreet female symbol on it.
Jarring, certainly but maybe it’s part of an awareness campaign of the different people who have periods and another one would have the male symbol or the non binary symbol?
He pulls out another pad and sees #likeagirl on it.

Shane swore as he saw the contact and swiped the call button. “What the fuck Rozanov.”
A few seconds passed before a female voice cracked on the line. “Jane?”
Cold dread flooded Shane’s insides. He fought the urge to hang up, but he didn’t reply either.
“Listen. Okay, listen” She said with an accent like Ilya’s, and a quiver in her voice. “There’s been an accident. Ilya-.” She falters on his name. “He’s in a bad way, I don’t—know anybody in Montreal. I think maybe, uh. I don’t know what to do, I know about you and Ilya and I think you should be here. I need to not be the only one Ilya knows here.”
Shane stopped existing for a few minutes before something kicked in and he robotically replied to the voice. “Where is he?”
