Summary
Post-second wizarding war, the students of Hermione's year of Hogwarts are returning to finish their magical education and take their NEWT examinations.
Hermione is a newly registered Animagus, taking the form of a rather fluffy, brown cat.
Draco Malfoy, forced to return in penance for his actions, is bullied and discarded by the wizarding community for the actions he and his family had taken during the war.
The only solace he manages to find within the walls of the school... is a small, brown cat, who takes up a guardian-type status over him, becoming his only source of comfort, unaware of the cats true identity.

If he ever gets the chance to actually fuck around with her, it’ll be so long since his last time that he’ll forget everything he’s ever known and end up blowing his load like a fourteen-year-old kid who’s just sneaked a porn magazine for the first time.
Talk about embarrassing.
But she’s waiting for a response and he doesn’t want to let her down. He also isn’t about to lie and say he doesn’t enjoy making a woman fall apart. Lucy wants him to be truthful, so he might as well just fess up.
“Yeah, there’s some truth to that,” he hedges.
Or: While Lockwood has to stay home from an overnight job, he and Lucy start saying things on the phone. Very dirty things.

She waits until a barely reasonable hour, and then pulls on her clothes and marches down the hall. She knocks determinedly. It takes him a moment to answer, and when he does, he’s still in his pyjamas. His hair is mussed, sticking up at odd angles, and the rings under his eyes are dark enough that she knows he hasn’t slept much.
“Lucy—” he starts.
“Iwantyoutoteachmeaboutsex,” she blurts out on the threshold.
He stares at her, uncomprehending. “What?”
She makes a frustrated huff and pushes past him into the room. She turns to face him, her arms crossed over her chest. He shuts the door and looks at her, expression wary. “I want you to teach me about sex,” she repeats.
He blinks at her. He blinks again. “Like…the birds and the bees?”

She freezes, her situation barreling suddenly into full focus.
She’s lying on her side, lengthwise on the inner half of the sofa. Lockwood is flat on his back beside her, his body effectively trapping her against the sofa back. Her cheek is pillowed against his clavicle, and her right arm is resting on his chest, her palm pressed flat against his button-up. She can feel the individual fibers of the cotton. She can feel his heartbeat.
His breath is warm and steady against her hairline; if the regularity of his breathing is anything to go by, he’s fast asleep. And she can thank her lucky stars for that.
Because of greatest urgency at the moment: her right leg is slung across his waist, pressing right up against his groin. And he’s hard. Like, really hard.

Lucy is freshly 17, has been at Lockwood and Co for a year now and is having a pretty good time living in the here and now, all things considered.
After a routine job forces the past down her throat -- literally -- Lucy's got to figure out why she's coughing up flower petals before she suffocates from them. Add in George, stuck in a research whirlwind, Lockwood, kept purposefully in the dark, and Kipps, who'd happily be anywhere but in the middle of it all, and Lucy's only sure of one thing: she's really, really sick of daisies.
Or, Lucy's refusal to acknowledge her feelings for Lockwood might just kill her. And that's if actually acknowledging them doesn't kill her first.

I made the mistake of looking up at Lockwood.
He was gazing down at me, puzzled look on his face, as if I somehow held the answers to the universe.
“What?” I said, fighting the urge to squirm under his intense scrutiny.
“Nothing,” he shrugged, eyebrows raised.
“You said you were done lying to me,” I whispered.
“I did,” he nodded and leaned down, speaking quietly. Those guys were still probably really close by and he clearly wasn’t taking any chances. “That was before you started lying to me.”
“I haven’t lied to you,” I lied to him.
“Clearly,” he didn’t look impressed.
“Ok… I haven’t lied to you where it wasn’t for your own good,” I offered.
He went quiet again as he processed that, his breath tickling my cheek.
