Izuku lifted his head to continue, but a shrill cry sounded from down the hall. He tensed in Katsuki's arms and went still and quiet, breathing shallowly as he maneuvered himself out of Katsuki’s embrace.
Before Katsuki understood what was happening, he was on his feet and rushing past Izuku. Within seconds, he found himself rocking an infant in the cradle of his arms, a low purr rumbling from his chest.
What. The. Fuck.
Izuku staggered into the nursery behind him, eyes wide and borderline terrified. “Uh, Merry Christmas?”

Summary
In the moment before he gains consciousness in July, Vash understands two things.
1. His brother’s love for him will lead to either his destruction or that of humanity if they continue like this.
2. Humanity will not thank him for his intervention, the price for their lives too high in collateral damage and the years of hardship to follow.In the sky, as they fall, Vash pulls his brother close and offers a compromise: give up his quest to destroy humanity and he would never leave him again.

Vash peered into his stare and saw it was true. In the depths of Nai's pupils, he saw himself at the center. Something about being needed egged him on. It was an addictive thing. Nai was an addiction. He knew he should think more rationally, and knew that he was treading on dangerous ground, but his loneliness had warped some of his morals.
