She may have thought of him, the Dark Lord, on his knees in front of her; equal parts exciting and terrifying. The perfect imperious slope of his profile, the dismissive turn to his lips. How it had all softened when his head met her middle.
A guilty tendril curls through her. She swallows it down, and finds her voice. "I have done no such thing."

Summary
Halbrand, heir to the throne of the Southlands, finds himself stranded in the middle of the ocean with only the old man Diarmid for a friend. That is, until they rescue Galadriel, Commander of the Northern Armies, from the bitter waters. Picked up by a Númenorean ship on its way home, the trio finds safety within the island kingdom. Galadriel will not let Halbrand forget his destiny, or avoid it.
But the Shadow is once again stirring in Middle-earth, and when they discover that Halbrand is more than he seems, Galadriel is confronted with a painful past more intimately tied to Halbrand's future than either of them could have guessed. Thrust into a destiny he never wanted, Halbrand must now choose between finding the light and touching the darkness.

Post-Season 1 AU. Galadriel reckons with the aftermath of Halbrand's betrayal & her conflicted feelings. But the true plan to be enacted in the event of Morgoth's defeat has not yet come to pass, & she may need Sauron to fight at her side again to save Middle Earth.

“I asked for a handsome reward in exchange for Finrod Felagund’s life,” the man called out across the distance. He was tall, though not as tall as her brother, and dressed in swathes of black and grey, a loose hood shielding most of his face and hair from sight. “What do you bring me in exchange for him?”
“Galadriel, no—” Finrod began, but Galadriel cut him off.
“—Myself,” she answered his call, though it did not sound as assuring out loud as it had sounded to her before she left her home to make this perilous journey to come save her brother.
The black-robed figure chuckled in response. It started low, but it reached the distance all the way toward her. He grasped Finrod by the neck of his tunic, yanking him back. “What would I do with you?” he threw back at her. “You’re hardly a fair exchange for the warrior I hold in my grasp.”
During the First Age, the War of Wrath changes course. On the island of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the Isle of Werewolves and one of Sauron’s former strongholds, is the seat of the Necromancer’s power. Instead of sending his wolves out to kill Finrod after capturing Felagund in his dungeons, Sauron demands an exchange for his life. Galadriel offers herself.
