Summary
Eight months ago, a perfectly spherical object appeared in Earth's orbit, unmoving and unaffected by gravity. Far-Tech Scientists around the world can't make any more sense of it than the mundane kind. Mages can't figure out what it is either, and most superheroes can't fly high enough to investigate it properly. It sits there, watching, waiting.
Seven months ago, a coalition was formed by several countries with the goal of sending a team of scientists to observe the anomaly up close.
Five months ago, each member of the team had been chosen, and would spend every waking moment preparing for the mission ahead.
Today, Areia Sinclair has finally achieved her dream: Becoming an astronaut, and getting to investigate the Spectator Anomaly. As long as nothing cataclysmic happens, she's going to make history.

Summary
Luna, Castalia, and Thea receive an important assignment as a team: Visit a neighboring universe and assess the situation. The situation, as it turns out, is that the moon exploded and aliens are invading and superpowers are happening and this is much more than they expected.
