Did they expect a tearful reunion? He could do that. Was he meant to shake his brother’s hand, and move on to whatever was next? He could do it, any of it, he just needed to know what they wanted from him.
Damian made the decision for him. He looked at him for half a second, and Danny knew those eyes. He felt himself tense, but Damian only scoffed lowly, turned on his heel, and walked away.

omfg this is so good it hurts so bad tho! this is like the worst dumbledore i’ve ever seen and the most depressed reggie i’ve ever known. i also feel like all the characters have a lot more depth than in many marauders fics; like rather than just being stereotypes they have more/different personalities and motivations, ya know? omfg part 2 turns this fic into a fucking horror novel what the actual fuck. and i love how mary fucking wretched that main character title out of regulus's hands and said that they're sharing now omg. this fic is so dark it's insane
