Everyone knows Dream can change his physical appearance at will, that he appears in different forms to different dreamers, but it’s still always been him. A change in form has never actually effected Dream beyond aesthetics.
Until now that is.
AKA: The Corinthian’s post rebellion plans to escape the Dreaming are interrupted by someone turning Dream of the Endless into an eight year old child.

He’s unable to help himself, unbalanced, blindsided to the point of almost not knowing what to say. Perhaps it’s because his eyes can finally feast, teeth no longer skittering off, sinking deep into a weakness he’s been built to taste and yet always been denied.
“Yes.” Dream replies.
Or, Dream summons his nightmare to his room in order to make an unusual request.
