“No, but Payam seems quite sure you'd enjoy his thesis topic and humbly requests your expertise in the situation.” A divot appears in between Kaveh's eyebrows as he purses his lips.
An odd research submission begins paving the way to a dangerous inclination bordering on obsession. In a wholly illogical sense, the lingering obsession focuses on his roommate.
A visceral string of events begins, with a temple devoted to the deceased Goddess of Flowers being the epicenter.

Summary
Kaveh finally manages to pay back all of his debt and moves into a new place of his own, only to soon notice the ever-present sensation of loneliness consuming him. In an attempt to fill the insatiable pit of loneliness, Kaveh seeks comfort in the presence of strangers he meets at the tavern, only for his thoughts to wander back to his ex-roommate again and again. As soon as Kaveh realizes the true feelings behind his thoughts, Alhaitham suddenly disappears.

“While clearing out an aggressive pocket of the Withering near the gates of Sumeru city, Kaveh is bitten by a carnivorous plant as he tries to defend Alhaitham. What seemed to be just a minor case of poisoning quickly turns disastrous when the architect transforms into a fungus. Alhaitham, feeling responsible for the turn of events, decides to help his Senior in finding a cure. And then Kaveh starts to forget familiar faces and important events of his past. Alhaitham will leave no stone unturned to cure his roommate before it’s too late.”
