“Oh, look who it is!” Wukong says, mock-cheerfully. “My best friend! Really happy to see you, bud! Where’ve you been?”
Macaque approaches cautiously. He’s not expecting Wukong to try and hurt him, he’s never raised a hand to Macaque in anger in the entire time they’ve known each other, but he’s looking manic, completely different from the Wukong Macaque knows and loves. He looks wild. “Are you...okay?” Macaque asks tentatively, wincing as soon as the words leave his mouth.
Wukong bares his teeth in a poor imitation of a smile. “Fuckin’ peachy.”
Macaque leaves, and then subsequently comes back.

Summary
Red Son had never liked water. He had rather vivid memories of his father having to hold him down in the bath tub just so the maids could rinse him off. He would scream, kick and even bite his father's hands, wailing to be let go of. His father just looked down at him with a sad frown, promising that it'd be over soon. The worst part was the feeling of his hair getting wet. It lost all of his volume, stuck to his neck and shoulders. It was heavy, feeling more like a head of magma than a head of fire.
So, when MK asked him if he wanted to go to the beach with him and Mei, he had absolutely no reason to say yes.
But he still did.
or: the gang all has a fun day at the beach! (well, some more than others.)

Tang awakes to find himself in 7th century China (tang dynasty) and it seems him and the great monk Tripitaka have some how switched places
stuck in the past tang will have to go through with the pilgrimage until his friends save him.

MK began to wash the shampoo out of Red Son’s hair, using one hand to pour water out of the basin and the other to block the soap from slipping down into his eyes. It was a small act, but one that showed a careful attention to detail that MK rarely showed to anything at all. It was the sort of sweet gesture that told Red Son he was cared for by MK, that he was loved.
“Oh.” He whispered. “I’m hallucinating you.”
