Summary
Edward Alexander Elric is the older brother of Alphonse and childhood friend of Winry and Pitt. He grew up rurally and left for Central sans two limbs after a 'failed' attempt to resurrect his mother.
Ellarose is some rando adopted by Juliet Douglass (certainly not 03 Sloth), and is the sibling of Kitlyn (totally not 03 Wrath). Ellarose is the on-again off-again caretaker for the chimera known by Elle as “Nina”.
The Fullmetal Alchemist works under King Bradley, being sent out commission-style. Mostly, Fullmetal works on the maintenance and care of the red water, which itself is in underground canals throughout Amestris.
Eldritch of Light is the most proficient soul alchemist (which is probably not like exorcism) that Dante knows of, at least from the homunculus population. Tricky thing is, whenever he's sent out to cleanup some mess for her, he handles things as he sees fit. Rather annoying if you ask her.
The fact that near all of these names begin with “E” or directly relates to Ed Elric is maybe, kind of, absolutely the same person.

Summary
Ed didn’t expect to keep his alchemy, neither loosing his right arm all over again or staying with the military for as long as he has. He also didn’t expect for the country’s border to open. Well, kinda. With Grumman as the new President Furher and newly promoted General Roy Mustang at his side, they ended the skirmishes between Aurego, Creta, and Drachma. They also returned Ishbalans Holy Land of Ishbal. Of course, there was still complications here there, but that was to be expected.
Ed, now Major General, was headed for central after a summons from Mustang. And according to the papers he received from Hawkeye, a foreign country called Japan has requested a meeting between a Delegate and their Minister to form an alliance of sort. But Ed has one main question to this mission.

Hotguy lifts a hand to the side of Cuteguy’s face, running a finger through his head feathers, sending a tremble down his spine. He opens his eyes, half lidded and murky. They breathe heavily, staring at each other.
“How- How far do you want to go?” Hotguy rasps.
Cuteguy places both hands on his shoulders, moving closer. “I would go anywhere with you.”

Summary
Edward has a bit of a hard time pinning all the blame for Envy's actions on the homunculus themselves. After all, they were never anything more than a tool - created for a specific purpose and then expected to follow strict commands. He thinks they deserve a chance to seek their own path, make their own decisions, and be their own person, so he risks it all by setting them free after the Promised Day.
