Summary
This story starts right after chapter 15 of Double Hearted by Kitsuneisi on Tumblr.
After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationships with Grian and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes.
Or
After Hotguy grows closer to Grian he impulsively cuts ties with the Emerald City without thinking about the consequences. When the same person that attacked the university returns things spiral even farther out of control. Then Grian accidentally starts a revolution.

Summary
Xelqua had been born an avian, bearing six wings instead of the common two or four. The extra appendages corresponded to his heightened magic affinity, he'd come to theorize.
The two new pairs of wings certainly did.
He was able to do things now, things not any Avian should have been able to do. He could corrupt electrical systems with a thought, could phase through objects like a Vex. His wounds seemed to heal over in a matter of hours. It made escaping police custody a rather simple task.
Once at a safe distance, Xelqua tucked his wings away with his regular magic. The four extras went away with them; as did his peculiar new powers.
He staggered the streets until he found where the earth tipped downwards, falling to the musky streets of the Perimeter. Dazed, alone, free.
The only evidence now left of the ceremony were his missing eyes.

With help from his superhero sidekick CuteGuy to fight the Watchers, who are actually bad people. But things go wrong when he falls in love with his superhero sidekick, and a world famous pop-star.
Grian was a mostly ordinary guy, he was an arcetect teacher at the local college. But sometimes he sung in front of a crowd as the well loved Ariana Griande. Until one day he wanted to bother the new superhero, so he put on a rubber chicken mask and called himself PoultryMan. Then when he decided he wanted to help, he adopted a new persona called CuteGuy. Lets just say.. Things got out of hand quick, and now he was in love with his coworker while trying to save the world.
