Spoilers for Season 5
What would happen if Eddie Munson, and all the others that died in the past returned?
It's 1987 and the military has taken over the Upside Down and Hawkins. Vecna has disappeared and is nowhere to be found. While the Party and gang search for him during their many crawls, Dustin Henderson is having a difficult time adapting without his friend. What starts out as him visiting the grave of Eddie Munson to feel closer to his dead friend turns out to be much more than that.
Slowly, everyone involved with the Upside Down begin to learn that Vecna isn't gone; he's more powerful than ever and they must band together to stop the end of the world.

Summary
The bleachers were packed with families: parents and grandparents and siblings, all dressed up, all holding cameras and flowers and balloons. Steve could see them from where he sat, could see the way they waved at their graduates, calling out names and taking pictures. The gym was full of people celebrating, full of love and pride and joy.
None of it was for him.
He knew the kids wouldn’t—couldn’t—be here, even if they wanted to be. They were still in school, and teachers wouldn’t have let them leave for the ceremony, since none of them were actually related to Steve.
His parents weren't here either. Steve had known they wouldn't be—had known it with the kind of bone-deep certainty that came from a lifetime of disappointments—but there was still a small, stupid part of him that had hoped. That had thought maybe, just maybe, they'd show up for this. His high school graduation: that was the thing parents were supposed to care about, right?
They probably didn't even remember it was today.
Probably didn’t even know he was graduating at all.

Summary
Hazily, Steve forced his gaze downward to take in his clothes. He was wearing his Scoops uniform, the fabric covered in varying amounts of ash and dirt, the shitty thing paired with his new pair of blue Adidas sneakers—the ones Dustin had insisted he buy because they apparently matched his work uniform.
Shakily, he brought a hand up to the back of his neck, flinching as he felt a half-formed scar underneath his fingertips.
"What the hell?" Steve swore, staring down at the blood that now covered his hand.
A crow squawked somewhere in the distance, the sound reverberating around his skull painfully.
Or: Steve dies at the end of season 3 and gets transported to the start of season 4 as a ghost.
