The 118’s newest probie asks Buck, “Why does everyone call you Buck?”
The question had a simple enough answer.
Buck said, “Back when I was at the academy, we had three Evans in my class. It was easier to go with Buck.” And then, later, “It’s just from my former surname. My maiden name, I guess you could call it.” He doesn't explain to the probie why he chose to take on his husband's surname and rid himself of his old one.

Summary
If not for stepping inside a Jaeger, Charlie would have never known what he’d wanted to say to him. He should’ve made it tangible. The drift was no excuse.
Chuck and Herc’s relationship had been a frayed, unmendable thing since Scissure. Herc doesn’t believe he’s ever been a parent, and yet his son leaves him with a grandchild after his death. Granted, the whole child ordeal was a more-than-unwelcome surprise to Chuck, and he really hadn’t meant to leave his old man with a kid. But he'd chosen to save the world in its desperate time of need.

They would meet every month under the guise of diplomacy: treaties to be discussed or recovery efforts to be divided between countries. It became a staple of their lives.
As they stand at the snowy border between their countries, this time two years after they had first become monarchs, Diamant suggests to Ivy that she come to Brodia during the annual tournament, and he would return to Elusia with her for an early birthday celebration. Summary
Four months had passed since Sumeru’s crisis unfolded. The aftermath had its fair share of twists, turns, and bumps in the road: namely, the termination of the Akasha system and the overhaul of the Akademiya.
As the Grand Scribe, Al-Haitham had encountered constant work, a never-ending storm, during those four months, and in Kaveh’s eyes, when overworked, not even given time to indulge in his personal interests, Al-Haitham became far more intolerable. A bitch. After enduring for four months, he couldn’t stand it anymore. So one day, like many others, Kaveh acted with his heart: he took a portion of Al-Haitham’s mora, gathered his friends, and retreated to Lambad’s tavern for the night. However, he’d also left Al-Haitham a note for when he would return home—an appeal join him. Archons knew Al-Haitham needed a drink or two or several.
Little did either comprehend the night at the tavern would lead them through a series of trials and tribulations that would test their relationship.
And for a man of rationality, what value did emotion hold? Could Al-Haitham love something besides his books?

The Internet is a scandalous place where the fake and dressed up thrive. Ajax knew this, but he had no intent to depict a sham—some secrets are best left concealed from the camera.

Ajax excelled at his new job—it was expected of an Alpha—until he suddenly terminated his contract.

Summary
Childe fainted. . . but what he wasn’t expecting was awaking in the lap of a God! She joked and teased, even questioned him about his favorite flowers. Childe was one of the Tsaritsa’s ruthless Harbingers, yet this mysterious God blatantly disregarded her very own life! It was all quite uncanny. The God hadn't even revealed her name. Finally, as she covered his eyes once again, she said, “I’ll see you again soon.”
What was that weird dream? Childe should’ve thought further about it, but how could he? He had then woken up in Zhongli’s bed, under alluring silk flower, smelling sheets! How utterly embarrassing. . . Please Archons, don’t tell him Zhongli carried him bridal style through Liyue’s streets after he fainted.
Two more weeks had then gone by before she returned. If only Childe had an inkling of what was to come. . .
