Summary
In the fractious and academic Sixth, parenting is often a question of definitions – and Archivist Juno Zeta doesn’t know how to be a parent without being first a teacher and archivist: observing and guiding young Palamedes Sextus as a baby and toddler, discovering power; as a child making his first friend; as a boy falling in love; as a young man seizing the House. She stores it all away in the archive of her soul, as each fades from view.
Palamedes changes everything he touches – the House, the Universe, and perhaps most of all, himself. Juno Zeta was never the type to wander blind – not metaphorically, at least, but in the wake of voting for her home to change forever, and suffering the consequences, she’s in the dark about their new future - and about that new person, to whom she does not know if she’s parent, or teacher, or archivist. Paul hopes to shed a little light for them both.

Summary
The bag kept jostling, and there were more faint noises. But eventually – faster than he had time to really process what was happening, victim of fortune in a sack that he was – the bag was being supported from below by something irregular, and then he was rather gently tipped out from it, the bag sliding away until he’d lost all contact. The new surface was flat, and he was sprawled out on it as a tangled, ungainly knot of bones that did not quite know where it was.
And then there was a sound. Slightly fuzzy – blurry, maybe, with a strange timbre like he was the string in a child’s sound-wave experiment cup-and-string.
“Warden?” It sounded like home.

Palamedes Sextus is just a little bit stuck, not having a body that can talk. There's a lot that needs to be said before they can rest.

Summary
It's the day of Dimitri's coronation, and afterwards, his vassals, lords, and knights will offer him their fealty, their loyalty and mutual promises sealed with a ceremonial kiss. Dimitri could give precedence, the honor of their loyalty acknowledged as first and most important, to a noble of high standing. But it's an honor most deserved by Dimitri's most loyal man -- if Dedue is willing to step forth and accept praise and honors.
Their kiss is a sign of their mutual trust; it is a symbol of peace; it is a formality. It can't mean anything more than that, an honor and testament to their bond as lord and vassal. But somewhere in their hearts, it can't help but mean something else, too.

“You know, people are always using that word,” he says, cheerfully. “I don’t think it means what most of them seem to think it means, though. Listen to me for just a moment, won’t you? I promise it’s important. Princess, I’ve come to bargain.”
Palamedes fights Ianthe for control of the body of Naberius Tern. For everyone else present at the scene, it’s over in an instant.
The two of them aren’t quite so lucky.
