Quentin won. Mysterio was finally the true hero, whilst people were only seeing what he wanted them to see.
Though, as his victory was illuminated with the flashes of triumph, there was Peter, only a few meters away, who was swallowed by darkness, bathing in his own blood and tears. Defeated.
Quentin decided he was the one who earned the right to end the kid’s life. In his great generosity, he accorded to Peter his first and last kiss.
