"Hush," Colin retorts. "Benedict informed me this evening that Anthony… once had a mistress."
She blinks at him for a moment in confusion, which he seems to take more as an expression of shock and he barrels forward before she has a chance to reply.
"Before Kate of course!" he clarifies in a rush. "Well before they met even, but it is still rather confounding, is it not?"
Penelope lets out a half huff, half chuckle sort of sound and leans her head back against the headboard to look her husband over for a moment. "Are you honestly telling me you were unaware that Anthony had a mistress?"
Colin's jaw drops slightly before his eyes narrow. "You knew?"

Colin. The Bridgerton that Pen is most definitely in love with, and has been since the moment they met. Actually, Colin was the first Bridgerton that she met. It had been a few days after she and her family moved in, the ghastly yellow hat her mum had forced on her flew straight into his face as he skateboarded by, knocking him into a puddle of mud. Her heart dropped, she ran straight over to him babbling an unintelligible apology, but to her surprise, he just laughed. And the moment Penelope heard it she fell in love. Eloise is her best friend in the entire world, obviously, but Colin never fails to bring a blush to her face and butterflies to her stomach, even when he’s not there.

“Well, I think the biggest challenge is going to be…positioning. My characters have a height difference, kind of like you and me.” She could feel her cheeks flush at her admission, but she bravely continued. “If we could just…simulate various positions–clothes on and everything…that might help?”

“Colin’s an amazing boyfriend. He shows me how much I mean to him every day,” Penelope told the group. “I just think saying that he’s obsessed with me is a bit of an exaggeration, that’s all.”
For a rare, peaceful moment, Hyacinth said nothing, but then her eyes lit up, and Penelope felt a jolt of dread in her stomach. “Well, I for one think it’s the perfect way to describe him, and I know how we’re going to prove it.”
Penelope knew she was going to regret asking this, but still she questioned anyway, “How?”
“With a TikTok trend!” Hyacinth said, practically vibrating with excitement.
Penelope doesn't think Colin is obsessed with her, everyone else knows that he is, and a certain TikTok trend comes into play.
