Summary
Ilya Rozanov's life takes an unexpected turn when a deadly plane crash in 2021 takes his life, right after a fight with his long-time partner, Shane Hollander. Summary
“Uncle Shane, do you promise to love Uncle Ilya and be his husband forever?” Jade asks, a wide smile on her face.
“I do,” Shane murmurs, a single happy tear running down his cheek.
“Uncle Ilya,” Jade continues, “Do you promise to love Uncle Shane and be his husband forever?”
“I do…forever,” Ilya says sincerely, only barely able to keep his lip from trembling with emotion. It feels like it did all those years ago in the Pikes’ living room, only now, the guests weren’t stuffed animals, and the two of them were now older, greyer, and (arguably) wiser.
(or, Ilya surprises Shane with a vow renewal on the heels of their retirement from the NHL)
