Rose deu outro gole no café, observando-o por cima da xícara com aquela expressão que Shane conhecia bem demais.
— E quem disse que precisa ser de verdade?
— Não. Absolutamente não.

Before a game against Chicago, Ilya receives a text from Shane that he never thought he'd receive. As he rushes to be by Shane's side, Ilya gets in contact with Hayden and Shane's mom to hopefully make it in time to save Shane from himself. When they'd been outed months before, Ilya hadn't worried because Shane had told him he was fine. Now he's questioning everything to figure out what he missed.

Summary
After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

Summary
An ice storm falls over Ottawa, but Ilya promised David and Yuna that he'd come over for dinner while Shane's away. When Yuna and David get the call that he's been rushed to the hospital after a car accident they scramble to get to him so he won't wake up alone in the hospital. Days of confusion, pain, and sadness ensue.
