Kissing Mydei is like sparring. Their tongues fight for dominance, twisting together, tasting and licking between heady moans and gasps of pleasure. Phainon has always been thrilled by how matched for strength he is with Mydei. Now is no different. He presses into the kiss, rolling Mydei onto his back. Phainon is a little surprised by how easily Mydei lets him move him, seemingly caught up in their clash of lips.
Mydei is hard again in no time, his clothed erection rubbing against Phainon's as they kiss. Their fights had always been passionate, but this is a different kind of passion. It's not the passion of fighting and surviving so much as it is need and freedom. They're free to just do and not worry about if they'll live to see tomorrow. Tomorrow is theirs to decide.

“I—yeah. Yes. You’re right, I’m sorry. Um—”
“Goodnight, Phainon,” Mydei says, a touch gentler, pushing off the railing and heading back to the door.
He can just barely hear Phainon’s soft, “Goodnight, Mydeimos,” before he’s shutting the chamber door behind him.
Or: a mutual, unprompted kiss is left unresolved. Mydei and Phainon aren't quite sure how to breach the subject.

It’s not enough. He’s had Mydeimos beneath him before, more times than either of them would care to count, but never this slow; never this long. It’s novel, devastating, addicting.
