Summary
Will loved ordinary things, an uneventful existence was something he craved. Sadly, when Mike Wheeler walks into his life, Will’s easy going path snaps right in half. A passion he could never imagine overtaking his whole being.
It was too bad their friend groups hated each other and his sister had a huge crush on the musician. Off limits.
Fantastic.

Summary
Steve hasn’t been sleeping. The panic attacks are getting worse, the ringing in his ears won’t stop, and he can’t look in the mirror without seeing what the Russians did to him. So he does something he never thought he’d do—he shows up at Jonathan Byers’ door asking for weed.
What starts as a desperate attempt to quiet his mind for a few hours turns into something else entirely: an honest conversation, a vulnerability he didn’t know he was capable of, and maybe, finally, the understanding that he doesn’t have to carry his trauma alone.
tl;dr: Steve Harrington shows up at Jonathan Byers’ house with a lie about wanting to try weed “for fun.” Jonathan sees right through it.

"I thought I'd lost you, Robin." Nancy's voice was barely audible, the words falling through her lips like a secret. "I thought-"
"No. No, Nance, stop." She ran her hands over the skin below Nancy's chin, sliding back and forth like a pendulum. "I followed a river of your blood- a river, Nancy." She couldn't survive another of Nancy's lies, her belief that she was somehow responsible for this, that she had believed Robin to be dead.
Not when she sat drenched in Nancy's blood, unraveled at the place in which she had completely disappeared.
"You were seconds away from becoming a memory to me, Nance. And that-" she paused. "That I wouldn't survive."

in which nancy wheeler and robin buckley endure a series of traumatic, potentially henry creel related trauma whilst (inconveniently) falling in love like god intended.

Summary
Nancy stared up at the ceiling. She wanted to look over the edge of her bed, stare at Robin’s sleeping body, but she refrained from actually doing it. Robin, for some ridiculous reason, had insisted on sleeping on the floor. For some inexplicable reason Nancy had been hurt by this. It was stupid really, but she had thought that asking Robin to be the one to share her room would make things easier instead of more awkward. If she had wanted the awkward shuffling and dancing around each other, she would have surely asked Steve to keep her company. Although, despite this, she had no regrets. Even if Robin was laying on the floor at the foot of her bed, she was happy the girl was here.

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
In the early morning, Jonathan can hear the soaring chords of Queen cutting across the crescendo of Freddie Mercury’s voice. There’s a click; the music stops and the tape rewinds, repeating to the building guitar solo, muffled by the walls separating their rooms. Will hasn’t been this happy in a while - a long while - and while Jonathan knows he has no idea what he’s doing, what he does know is this: he’s going to teach his little brother how to play the guitar.
What he wasn’t expecting was Steve Harrington finding him in the damp basement hallway of their high school and lecturing him about sound acoustics or how the humidity was going to fuck up his strings.
