Summary
Being a human in a dragon's territory wasn't always a dream. You were completely at the mercy of your immortal demigod. They could kill you and your entire family at any point. But it was the only option. Your dragon lord and the magic of their territory was the only thing that protected you from demons and their corruption.
It wasn't even that bad in a territory. A human could live a decent life with a home, a career and even have a family of their own. A lot of people in Musutafu had managed to do just that. It's hardly anyone's fault but his own that Izuku hasn't managed to do the same. He's always been a bit of a failure.
So when the first scale appeared, he knew right away it was some sort of mistake. He's sure the goddess wouldn't choose him to be his dragon lord's heir. After all, you had to have an exceptional soul for the goddess to find you worthy. He wasn't exceptional at anything.

Summary
When Katsuki was forced to work with a kennel owned hybrid, his goal was to get the trial done with as quickly as possible. But that obnoxiously adorable dog with his stupid grin screwed him. And after the adoption? Well, he had no choice but to declare war on the corrupt government institution that hurt his dog in the first place. They had ties with Japan's entire criminal underground and he's a hero. It has nothing to do with getting revenge for Kirishima or the rescue of all the other hybrids like him. He's just taking down villains. He's not going soft.
Note: No sex between hybrids and humans here. No shame in that obviously but things are treated differently in this story.
