It was one of the many quote-unquote pros of living in this new planet with its new culture, identity, and societal expectations, being free of the rules and regulations of Beforus and everything it had stood for.Most of the Beforian Trolls had seemed to adapt wonderfully to the new set of circumstances, embracing the new limitless potential they were offered and the freedom to do whatever they wished with it.
But Horuss was not other Trolls and he often faced a number of struggles within the new life they had all been so graciously gifted.

Well, no. ‘Realize’ implied they weren’t already aware of that fact beforehand and that was the farthest thing from the truth.
Gamzee had been very much aware of the fact that none of their friends really liked them or wanted much of anything to actually do with them for a very, very long time. They weren’t stupid, they knew how tell when they weren’t wanted, their lusus was never around after all, of course they knew when they weren’t wanted.
They supposed that seven sweeps was just when they really accepted the fact.

Uryū Ishida thought he’d planned it all out—checked and double-checked the calendars. It was the perfect overlap: a window of 18 minutes where everyone was busy. Too busy. He had to make it work.
When Uryū decided to fake his death to try and solve a murder mystery from his middle school years, he knew there would be challenges. Hell, whenever someone decided to trust Yhwach’s advice, there were bound to be issues.
What he didn’t plan for was his dad interrupting the event meant to kick it all off.
But there he was, Dr. Ryūken Ishida, dressed head-to-toe in scrubs ready for surgery, looking completely out of place on the bridge and beyond irate. He had a death grip on the collar of Uryū’s shirt to keep him from falling while he simultaneously punched Uryū’s would-be murderer in the face.
Oops. Must’ve miscalculated.
Maybe it hadn’t been eighteen minutes? Maybe it had only really been eight? And he missed the window? He could hear sirens in the distance.
Definitely missed the window.
A.k.a. Listening to Yhwach, the evil Lich, jeopardizes Uryū’s future in med school… and could end the world. NO ONE prevents Ryūken Ishida’s son from becoming a doctor—He forbids it.
