Just because he now has a better life now doesn't mean his mind is better. Robert still struggles with chronic pain, self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, poverty mindset, his experience with Courtney, and generally caring for himself. The Z-Team refuses to let him drown in his misery.
I do not give my permission for my writing to be fed to ai in any way. My work cannot be used to train ai models, inspire ai "fanfiction" or "writing", or for any fuckass ai chatbot roleplay. If I ever find that my work has been fed to ai, I will look into pursuing legal action as I consider it theft (other than ai rp, then I just hate you.)

Summary
When the front desk had triggered the lockdown and called to say Mecha Man was in the SDN lobby with the Astral Pulse in hand, turning himself in, this wasn’t exactly what she expected. Mecha Man was supposed to be menacing. He was supposed to be feared, intimidating, imposing, a force to be reckoned with both in and out of the suit. Someone you looked at and thought, damn. Now that’s a villain.
When Blazer got to the lobby, all she could think was, damn. That’s just a kid.
The same thought returned to her now, watching the shallow rise and fall of Robert’s chest as he slept in the too-big hospital bed. Around either wrist, thick restraints pinned his arms down to the metal frame of the cot. Under the blanket that was draped over his legs, she knew the same restraints were fixed at his ankles, too.
“Feels like overkill,” she muttered, shaking her head again. Chase huffed a laugh, hunching further in on himself.
“It’s not. Kid’s a scrappy motherfucker, always has been,” he said.

Summary
Now that the fight against Shroud has subsided, things could go back to normal. Right?
Robert Robertson was finally able to relax, or try to at least. He still had a big decision to make and it seems like everything and everyone around him is going to influence that decision more than he'd like. The biggest factor? His dynamic, more so, his lack of connection with said dynamic. What's going to happen now that he's not fighting for his life 24/7? What is he supposed to do when a certain hybrid, and the rest of the Z-team, find out about his dynamic and all dynamic related issues?

Robert faces the consequences of ignoring his dynamic for pretty much his entire life, faces new issues regarding his dynamic, and somehow manages falling in love in the midst of all the chaos

After working at the SDN for months now, everyone on the Z-Team has noticed a slight change within their dispatcher. His voice wasn't as hollow anymore and he seemed to have more life in his eyes. He actually engaged in their silly banter and seemed to be more open with the idea of the team becoming a family. However, the Z-Team wouldn't be the Z-Team without making a few bets.
