Dan’s brushing back one of his companion’s curls, it won’t stay behind his ear. “Hey, your plan is nuts,” he says fondly. “The worst thing I’ve fucking heard. And I’ve heard a lot of Phish.”
“I do not know-” eyes flicking over him, “If I may find closure, Daniel. It may simply be…?”
“Finish the sentence.”
“Too much momentum? Overwhelming… history?” Arun’s voice in fragments, smaller, “I’m not sure where to- put it?”
“Hey, hey,” hugging him for real, real fucking hard. They’re sitting awkwardly, and Armand ends up wrapping his legs around his waist. Dan’s mouth into the side of Armand’s hair, “You put it on me.”

“Perhaps,” Armand - Rashid - said. “Do these nosebleeds happen often?”
“Oh, you know.” He shrugged. “Shitty decisions in my youth. I don’t remember breaking it, but I don’t remember a lot of stuff from back then. Probably reset it myself like an idiot and now it sprays whenever it likes, apparently.”
Armand shut his mouth, closed his eyes, and breathed in slow, deep through his nose.

Armand turned to the bed to find Daniel sitting upright on the bed, looking positively scandalised as he blinked the remnants of sleep from his eyes. It wasn’t a new situation, but Armand loved how startled he was every time; as though Armand wasn’t constantly by his side wherever he was, watching, waiting. Whether Daniel was travelling the world or sleeping face-down in a motel room, Armand was going to be there. Surely, Daniel had learnt this by now.
“...You left the door open,” Armand said. Because he had. Whether he’d been watching Daniel beforehand and seeking him out anyway was neither here nor there.

EPISODE TVL 5 SPOILERS. In the park scene, when Armand mentions every time he's helped/watched Daniel as proof he loves him. I've expanded every reference into a scene.
Grinning, probably, “But I love seeing you, you make sure I don’t get hit by cars, and you flush my drugs.”
“You do remember that, the drugs-?”
He wants to tap his head, but his fingers are tangled in Armand’s belt loops, and his other hand in the vampire’s hair. “I’m gonna see you. Whether you like it or not.”
Armand leans, he can see the vampire considering, his eyes flicking to Daniel’s lips. Then kisses him soft, hunching over Molloy, nearly lying on top of him; two pinpricks on Daniel’s bottom lip tasting like metal. His back arcs up. There’s the high he’s been chasing: pain and blood and pleasure. Like fuck he’s going to let it get away.

Summary
Armand only goes to 'check on' the fascinating boy reporter so he can finish what Louis started. He promised Louis he wouldn't kill him, but Louis keeps things alive kicking and screaming in pain just so he doesn't have to experience their loss. Armand has never had that impediment.
He knows what to tell Louis—checking on the boy was Louis's idea in the first place, no doubt feeling guilty for attacking young Daniel, but he'd dropped it shortly after mentioning it. Armand picked it up and held it tightly to his chest, and now he's here. For Louis. So he can assure Louis that the boy isn't suffering and have it not be a lie.

Why is he thinking about Divisadero Street? Daniel can barely afford the $60 rent he has now, and if his landlord hadn’t fried his brain at Woodstock, he would’ve raised the rent twice already. Can’t be because of drugs, either. No reason for him to go anywhere except his own neighborhood for that.
Ice pools in Daniel’s gut.
He can see the place now. Real post-divorce, bail-bondsman vibe. Don’t be afraid. Magnetic tape unspooled from a cassette and tangled around thin dark fingers. Is this what makes you fascinating? Face pressed into the cheap couch; teeth digging into the soft flesh between his neck and his shoulder; an apology that follows only a second later that splatters Daniel’s own blood over his broken skin.The prize for Screw-Up of the Century surely goes to Daniel Molloy, who couldn’t just let a regular drug habit be what imploded his entire life. Mated, knocked up, and apparently widowed in under one week, with only blurry memories to account for it.

Armand has notes for Daniel's documentary on Lestat. He sends him unhinged emails about it. Armand breaks into other people's minds so he can stalk Daniel more efficiently. (I'm trying to channel the pure insanity of Devil's Minion, but also tie in the current season. There will be one chapter per Vampire Lestat episode).
“I drank that disgusting drink so you could taste it,” and he holds out his still-bleeding fingertip. Smiles: small, tentative. “Please?”
Daniel’s crossed the room, and he’s cracked down to his knees which Armand wasn’t expecting (Armand almost calls out: “your knees!” forgetting Dan’s bones are no longer human bones), and he has Armand’s finger in his mouth and he’s sucking. Armand gasps in, horks in the air. Staggers back so he’s got his other hand bracing on the counter.
“How do I- taste?” Armand hisses.
Daniel guides Armand’s knuckle deeper, then pops it out. “Vermouth. No annihilation.”
