Summary
The life Ray lived in the demon world can be broken up into moments. Some of them were calm, most of them were fighting, and all of them are something he’ll never experience again. Now everything is over and it’s time for Ray to have a normal life with normal moments. That’s a little hard when the only normal thing about him seems to be the unrequited feelings he’s carried for his best friend since they were children.
The life Norman lived can be broken into before and after. He’s just not sure where one ends and the other starts. He’s also not sure how he supposed to deal with the way looking at Ray makes him feel now that he has the time to actually feel.
In which Ray and Norman learn to grow, cope, and love in the human world.

Summary
Norman and Ray share a bedroom in the Ratri’s facilities. In Norman’s initial absence, Ray had pushed their two allotted twin beds together, creating a larger mattress. (“The littler kids asked to sleep over a lot when they had trouble adjusting to their new rooms,” Ray explained to a question Norman never asked.)
Since his breakdown and their subsequent fight, Norman sleeps there most days. His futon in the study remains, but lately it has felt cold and empty. Winter is approaching, he supposes.
It’s not winter that has Norman feeling fragile, just like how it's not the body heat beside him that warms Norman to his core.
or: Two years without Emma. Norman and Ray, figuring out the spaces in between them when the girl they both love no longer inhabits it.
