Katsuki, newly crowned king of Yuuei, lives a life set in stone. Determined to be the best ruler, he strives to follow the same path as his parents. But the decisions of the kingdom and his own life are not truly his to make and the more he feels like a puppet with the strings being pulled behind the scenes, the more he feels out of control.
Badly Injured in a battle, he finds himself stumbling through the forests of Yuuei, which have a reputation for being dangerous and filled with unknown magic.
Izuku, a loner omega dwelling in the forest, lives a life stalked by death. Everything he’s ever loved he’s lost and he has long since decided that giving up on loving others is his best option to keep himself from getting hurt. He keeps a careful distance between himself and the rest of the world but when the king shows up at his doorstep half dead, he’s determined not to let another person die under his watch.

“It’ll lead right into a July funeral, I suspect,” Alastor laughed, slapping his hand on the bar. “No wonder you’re so interested in releasing him from his contract. If Valentino heard there was someone who loved his prized star, why he would be absolutely livid.”
The cackle was unnecessary and Husk said as much, glowering. When that failed to shut him up, he waited until there was a lull and hissed, “Ya done?”
There was a pause, a ‘no,’ and then another chorus of maniacal laughter that sent Pentious, who had come into the parlor for something, slithering away with nothing more than an eep and an apology.

This is absolute god tier. I love this story so much and I can't stop thinking about it. Katsukis humor is priceless and their attitudes are perfect. Ahh the tension that rose with every passing moment as thier personas. My poor baby kacchan. him after chapter 5 broke me. I love him so much omg. I loved that moment in the alley simply because I knew he would eat his worlds once tension broke. Ahh kacchan is so caring. Omg happy hour 😳.

This fic is so beautiful and it hits so well.
Kacchan is the best most supportive, kind, and honestly heartwarming boyfriend a genderqueer or anyone could want. Iv had so much loudmouth kacchan I forgot about the soft one. Thank you so much I love this so much. As a genderqueer this is amazing and it has spiderdeku which makes it ten times better than it already is.
Kacchan is so calm 🥰🥰🥰Definitely worth reading if you want caring kacchan and (pre-transion) transmasc izu
