    Objectively, Gojo has a good life. He knows this. He has a stable job teaching fantastic kids whom he adores. He has an impeccable luxury apartment and a housekeeper that comes by weekly to ensure that it stays impeccable. He even has a trust fund that pays for his every whim and more. Not to mention, he's tall and incredibly good-looking.

    It’s great; it really is. He’s lucky.

    Enter Gojo Satoru: obnoxious, powerful, and apparently someone who knows his deathbeat father. He claims he wants to help and though Megumi doesn't really buy it, Gojo is determined to aid him anyway.

    Cass needs to stop taking pictures.
    Steph needs to stop laughing. Really.
    Bruce needs a reality check, but nobody's willing to throw themself on that altar.

    Or: Dick throws himself in the way of a spell meant for Jason. Fortunately, he lives through it. Unfortunately, it breaks him to pieces. He'll have to rely on his family to help stitch those pieces together, but between the arguing and resentment on every which side, they have their work cut out for them. Especially as they start to uncover the secrets their oldest brother has kept hidden for so long...

    He couldn’t hear anything from the other side of the door, but he didn’t doubt that Dick was there, that he was listening. He could feel it. “Kids called me. They’re worried ‘bout’cha. But you knew that. Just like I know that whatever yer workin’ on in there’s gotta be important. So, I’m not gonna try’n drag you out, but I’m gonna be here when you’re ready to talk. Sent everyone else out. It’s just you’n me, Dick. However long you need.”

    That wasn’t necessarily true. They would all find their way back by dinner time at the latest. But it was true enough for the moment. Sorta like when someone promises forever but they only really have right now. Because sometimes forever means the same thing as right now and sometimes “however long you need” is the same as “however long I can give you”.

    Seven times the Bats learn something New about Dick's time as Batman and one time they go to court about it.
