Summary
“Are we celebrating something? I must say, the invitation was quite spontaneous! Not that I mind, of course. It’s always pleasant to spend a lovely evening in the company of a dear friend, isn’t it?”
Vox stiffened, and his first instinct was to blurt out, 'You don’t know what day it is?' Because seriously—he had been under the impression that Alastor accepting his dinner invite for Valentine’s Day already meant something.
Alastor sat down with his usual effortless grace. “Well, whatever the reason, I certainly appreciate the effort! It’s been ages since I’ve received such a delightfully personal invitation for dinner from you.”
Vox stared at him. Then, at the table. Then back at him.
This had to be a joke.
Alastor met his gaze, still smiling, still wholly unfazed.
It was not a joke.

Summary
“It’s quite the opposite, actually. I’ve come to help you,” Alastor said, as if it wasn’t the most ridiculous thing Vox had ever heard.
“How stupid do you think I am?”
“Exceedingly so,” Alastor smirked and Vox scowled. He’d walked right into that one.
Alastor held up his hands in a sassy, little shrug. “But as I told you earlier, you helped me break a chain that’s been a thorn in my side for a very long time. So I believe I owe you more than a simple thank you. Look, I even brought you a gift.”

Summary
“I merely accepted your offer. Is that not what you wanted?”
“Uh… yyyyyeeeessss?”
---
When Vox travels back in time to find that Alastor accepted his offer to become partners, he thinks he’s struck gold. This time, he knows the future. This time, he can get the upper hand. This time, he can make Al suffer the same humiliation he did.
But to Vox’s surprise, things are not as they were. Though Alastor clearly has ulterior motives in their strange yet fruitful partnership, Vox finds himself falling for the radio demon all over again. And this time, Alastor doesn’t seem so far removed from the idea, either.
Vox wants to trick Alastor, but as time goes on, he struggles to reconcile with who he thought Alastor was and who he now appears to be. But without knowing with complete certainty that Alastor feels the same way, Vox can’t bring himself to trust his feelings. Vox can’t help it.
He still wants Alastor, after everything.

Summary
“How about,” he started. “We make a little deal.” His shadow moved to form himself as an example for what he was about to suggest.
“I’ll join your propaganda parade, and be your-“ he paused, considering his options.
“Partner.” He finally said, his smile strained. The shadows he formed around them warping into the two of them holding hands. Almost cute.
Basically Alastor, instead of suggesting he join Vox as his prisoner, offers a partnership… yes this is a fake dating au
