And when he noticed Hongjoong standing there gawking, his mouth stretched into a blinding, 1000-kilowatt smile and he raised his hand into a wave. Hongjoong thought he just about might pass out and join old Maggie in the clouds.
For some inexplicable reason, this irritated him beyond belief.
Or: Hongjoong's new neighbour is a gift sent from heaven and Hongjoong's little gay heart can't handle it.

“No, it wasn’t you. He just said something at breakfast, and then I was thinking about it–”
“Honestly, I think you two are fucking,” Mingi says, uncaring about how crass his language is. The nail artist seems to enjoy the drama, laughing at his words.
Hongjoong's utterly embarrased. “What is wrong with you? Genuinely, what’s your issue?”

The thing is, these two have zero clue how to care for a pup, nonetheless a moody mischievous one who is unironically taking after her parents.The other thing is, no one has warned them of getting attached, the pup fever hitting Beomgyu so hard, and Taehyun being there to watch everything happen in real-time and starting to question all the years of friendship he has with the Omega.

Admittedly, it probably wasn’t one of the best choices Hongjoong had made. In fact, it had stemmed from a long line of bad choices that started with telling his best friend Yunho that yes, he did have a boyfriend and he would go on a double date with him, and ended with drunkenly googling ‘how to get a boyfriend fast when you hate talking to people’ at 3am and somehow coming up with a Wikihow article on summoning a demon.
(or, Hongjoong summons a demon to pretend to be his boyfriend, because that isn't a disaster waiting to happen, right?)
