Summary
“Can I get ice cream while we wait?” Dustin asks when Steve rejoins them, glancing over at the ice cream parlor next door.
Steve shakes his head. “Nope. I can just picture all the shit you guys are gonna rope me into buying for tonight so you can wait.” Dustin pouts, crossing his arms as he glares at Steve. “That’s not gonna work on me.”
“Don’t worry, Henderson. I’ll get it for you.”
“Stop encouraging him,” Steve snaps when Dustin smiles. “I’m trying to be responsible here.”
Eddie winks at him, resting his arm on Dustin’s head as he regards him. “And that’s no fun!” He ruffles Dustin’s hair and sends him off toward the ice cream parlor. “If I’m gonna coparent with you, I get to be the fun one.”

Summary
This idea was inspired by a post by crsinclair on tumblr! I wrote it after work the past few days and I haven't taken the time to beta it like usual, I just want to get it out there! I hope you enjoy!
Hizashi isn't normally one to keep a secret. Of course, if someone asks him to keep quiet, he'll respect that, but when it comes to himself, oversharing is the name of the game. Friends, classmates, strangers- he'll talk to them all, about almost anything. But there's one thing he hasn't been able to talk about, and he's not quite sure why. Not even to his parents, and he knows he could tell them anything and they would still love and support him. It's nothing bad. At least, not in his opinion. But it is a little scary when he thinks about it.
His secret?

Joe has been so thoroughly torn in two. Half of his heart wants to drag Nicky into his arms, kiss him until neither of them can breathe, whisper to him until they feel safe and whole again, find salvation in him like they have since long before Joe lost the ability to properly gauge the passing of time. His other half can’t bear to even look at Nicky for too long. He can’t see Nicky’s eyes, normally wide and beautiful and the color of sea-glass, without recalling them screwed up in pain. He can’t see Nicky’s skin without remembering it sliced into, pieces extracted, the stain of blood that lingered. He can’t see Nicky’s hair without remembering it caked in blood, too.
