The only problem is that kitten is Stiles and he doesn't want Erica's fingers anywhere near him. He hisses and when her hand keeps on coming, he sinks his teeth into it. Erica howls and shakes her hand, making Stiles fly off and skid across the loft floor.
"I think he might not want to be touched," Peter drawls.
"He let you hold him," Erica grumbles.
"I didn't lunge at an animal the size of a potato with my nails out," Peter points out, and YEAH.

Summary
Peter makes it a point to know who every student at Beacon Hills High School is. Even if they're completely unremarkable, he likes to know the basics about them. He's a senior, still a child according to his sister, but he's tapped to be her right hand, her enforcer. It's his job to know about everyone that could be a potential threat. She calls him paranoid, he calls it practicing. So when a new student comes, the first in a long time (in years really. No one moves to Beacon Hills.), Peter pays attention.

Peter seems uncomfortable for a moment and Stiles is sure he's about to be told to fuck off, but then Peter sighs.
"Now that the nemeton is dealt with, the territory is finally somewhat secure. I have a chance to catch up on all that I missed," Peter says.
"Missed?"
"While I was in a coma, Stiles," Peter says exasperatedly.
Peter's looking at Stiles like he's waiting for something, maybe for Stiles to make a sarcastic comment or laugh, but Stiles doesn't find it remotely funny.
"Oh," Stiles says awkwardly. "Okay, but if you're doing this, you're doing this right."

Summary
Peter has never put any stock into ghost stories. Sure, when he was a kid and his parents told scary stories by the campfire, he'd jump and his heart would beat a little bit faster, but that's it. So when his nieces and nephews start whispering about the pack house being haunted, he doesn't really pay any attention.

Summary
Theo is a problem. His plans are sloppy and ineffective, despite the fact that he fooled True Alpha Scott McCall (not that spectacular of a feat, as far as Peter's concerned). His attempts of subterfuge are weak and unrefined, quite frankly an insult to bad guys everywhere. At the risk of sounding like a villain from a bad western, there's only enough room in Beacon Hills for one undead psychopath (reformed, in Peter's case at least), and Peter isn't going to give the mantle over to a lazy little upstart thing.
Also, he hurt Stiles and that, quite frankly, is unacceptable. It's the final nail in his coffin as far as Peter is concerned.

Summary
Stiles' hands don't shake when he kills Theo. They're steady as he slits his throat, watching impassively as the blood drains onto the nemeton's stump, soaking into the dry, jagged rings.
His hands don't shake when he presses them against the blood-soaked stump, murmuring in a dead language he only knows because of the nogitsune. Magic flows from him, charging his words, his blood sacrifice. It seeps into the nemeton, cleansing and healing it, purging decades of misuse and abuse.
His hands don't shake as they call up the earth, revitalized from the magic he just poured into the nemeton, to swallow up the body he'd kicked to the ground, dragging it deep under the forest floor.
Before he leaves the clearing, he pulls a bottle of water from his backpack, washing Theo's blood from his hands. They don't shake then either.

Stiles stares down in shock at the woman sprawled on his floor. She’s sputtering, trying to push her windswept brown hair out of her face and get to her feet at once. She somehow manages, and jumps a bit when she sees Stiles standing in front of her.
“What the fuck?!” Stiles says.
“What the fuck?!” the woman says. She glances around the room, seeing the Monsters, Inc. and Star Wars crock pots, a bunch of dried herbs hanging from the ceiling, and the orbs of light bobbing near the crown molding.
Peter comes barreling in a moment later, claws out, eyes blue, and fangs dropped.
“What the FUCK?” the woman shouts, looking between Stiles and Peter. Callista wanders over, rubbing up against the woman’s legs and looking up with bright red eyes. “Uh, Toto, we definitely aren’t in Asgard anymore."

Summary
Overall, Stiles is very well-known in the supernatural community. It’d be hard not to be, not with how his reputation has grown like wildfire. He knows and is on good terms with nearly all the fae that reside in the preserve, the asrai that live deep in the lake, the Ito pack, the vampire couple that lives over in Beacon Valley (they buy an ethically-sourced food supply from Stiles), as well as almost every other supernatural entity in the area. But Talia Hale doesn’t like him, and a werewolf pack tends to do what their alpha tells them to.
So it’s a definite surprise when the wards at the edge of his property trip, the tingling down his spine telling him it’s a werewolf, the lack of burning sensation letting him know there’s no hostile intent. Stiles, in his office in the second floor turret, sets down the amulet he’s packing up for Marin and moves to the large window overlooking the front of his property. He’s expecting to see an Ito packmember, even though they nearly always call in advance, and is surprised to see a man that he recognizes as Talia’s brother, Peter.
