‘Boyfriend’ wasn’t the right word. It was flimsy, casual. It felt too light for the permanent, heavy mix of emotions in his soul regarding Iskandar. Servant and master turned king and subject- yet also friends with the previous push and pull of a mentor and student relationship. It was all too much to pin down, even ten years after losing Iskandar and having him back again. Their physical relationship had started soon after he’d brought Iskandar back, half embraces and close proximity turning to kisses and close hugs. What Greek definition of love resided inside him?
