The Traveler has met the dreaded Balladeer three times already - by sheer misfortune. This time, however, their encounters will have nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with the strange acquaintance they share. And Aether is not quite sure he understands any of it.
Or: an alternate version of the canon storyline, where Scaramouche and Aether form an uneasy alliance in Inazuma and unwillingly learn more about each other, leading them to grow closer than they ever intended.

Summary
Nod-Krai has exploded into civil war. The Frostmoon Scions have rebelled against the Fatui with some powerful backers. The Fatui are doing their best to stop losing soldiers to drones on Hiisi island. The Treasure Hoarders are looting everything they can get their hands on. The Voynich Guild is trying to make a profit.
Essentially, "What if Nod-Krai actually followed the Faction War premise it set out to accomplish?" Expect a heavy focus on shifting alliances and enemies everywhere, as was promised at the end of Natlan. Can Aether and Paimon successfully navigate the shifting tides? Or will the monsters of the deep rise up to swallow Teyvat whole?

Summary
Durin gets pulled into a strange Ley Line anomaly and wakes up alone in a Teyvat he doesn’t recognize. He meets Scaramouche, thinking that it’s just some strange alternate timeline where Hat Guy is a Fatui Harbinger, but it’s only a matter of time before he learns that he’s actually been pulled into a past that the world should have forgotten.
He also ends up joining the Fatui, somehow, but that’s neither here nor there. The important part is that he needs the help of both Scaramouche and the Albedo of the past to help him solve his Ley Line problem… if he can get them to work together, that is.

Summary
"Life isn't a storybook, Durin."
"Ours could be," Durin said quietly. He put his cheek on Scara's shoulder again. And now he held onto Scara's upper arm, hugging Scara's elbow to his chest.
"No," Scara said, pulling his arm free. "It can't."
Later that night, Scara lay alone, tracing his stare over the patterned ceiling of his Akademiya room, telling himself that it was better this way. Better to give Durin a small, manageable wound and teach him not to be so vulnerable, so open-hearted, before the world gave him the kind of wound that never heals.
Scara pressed his palm to that empty place in his chest. He never understood how the absence of a heart hurt him more than its presence.
A series of interconnected one-shots, set during the summer that Durin spent with Scaramouche in Sumeru.
Scara volunteers to look after Durin for the summer. But he didn't anticipate just how hard and how quickly he would fall in love -- or how terrifying it would be, to allow himself to trust another person.
