“John assured me, not long before his passing, that you would know how to assist me. And I understand our situation is not… ideal, but as my physician, perhaps - can you?” Francesca rushes out to ask, emptying her lungs of their last air. “Can you tell me how one is to achieve such a thing?”
Michaela leans back in her chair. The doctor's mask is a fragile layer, and for a brief moment, Francesca thinks she sees it crack in a betraying flash of ill surprise. She sees the physician slip out, then back in. She sees the version of Michaela that is reserved for few: avoidant eyes, fingers tight around her arm, searching for her words where they cannot be. The human heart woven inside the doll, the flower when it is not observed.
She clears her throat, the professional persona resettling. “I believe that falls within the scope of my capacities, yes.”

Francesca has not spoken to Michaela in years. It is unfortunate that Doctor Stirling may be her last hope to fix her body's failure to conceive - and reach the infamous pinnacle she was promised - with the husband she is pushing herself to seek once more.

Carol shrugs. "I mean, that sounds better than hoping Koumba won't be relocating his next strip-poker night in your current bed, so... sure."
Zosia sways a little, hips first, hands clasped in front of her. The sash of her robe dances with her waist, and Carol’s hands twitch by her sides - imagine holding it like a leash, or weaving the silk under her flesh.

Vi doesn't look up from the buttons of Caitlyn's blouse, still opened and baring her chest to the quiet serenity of the office. Frown lines dance across her forehead as Vi tries to fit the tiny things into their respective frustrating holes.
“Seems like that's kinda the point of this whole bargain, isn't it?”
Caitlyn furrows her eyebrows. “You keep talking about an arrangement, a… bargain, but I’m not sure I follow you. What – how exactly is this supposed to work?”
Vi laughs, and Caitlyn supposes she must be quite funny in her ignorance. “How it works is you get me all these nice things I never even asked for, and in return, I fuck your smart brains out. Simple as that.”

Summary
A lifetime has passed since Alicent last saw Rhaenyra Targaryen. She has made good use of her time since and built her own peace, claiming a husband who takes his vows to the letter, a son who has replicated her every feature down to her wounds and flaws, and her own private practice as a therapist for King's Landing's elite.
Rhaenyra has done the same - or found her version of it, at least, after she took over the Dragonstone firm, dated old friends and met new lovers, one of them the woman she'll someday marry, and (half-)quit to embrace her family's historical mark on the art industry, set to release her first film in the coming months.
Everything takes a turn when, after seventeen years, Rhaenyra comes back to King's Landing and signs up to be Alicent's newest client, reviving a fire that now burns with terrible anger, irresistible manipulations, obsession bordering on need, and betrayals of everything they became without each other - starting with their partners and their promises to never (again) fall for each another.

Alicent is (not) Rhaenyra's therapist and they do (not) develop a co-dependent, childhood-inherited, shamelessly adulterous and sexually spiteful relationship.

Summary
