Things start to move much faster than Odysseus expected and it seems his famous bad luck is finally catching up with him and the kids he’s claimed as his. Annabeth gone, Percy starting to take a dangerous spiral, and his new charge Thalia is getting a little too big for her breaches. He’s trying to keep the younger kids out of the fight as much as he can but theres only so much he can do when the enemy army is waking up. The two gods that have made his life a living hell have thankfully started to back off a little, but someone has taken their place. There's just something about the man Marcus that draws Odysseus to him even though he can be so infuriating. He can’t focus on his heart right now, his kids need him. But do they need the monster that is starting to wake up inside him?

Odysseus has come out of the shadows after over 2000 years of hiding from the gods that made him immortal. After helping the son of Poseidon and his friends stop a war between the Gods of the sea and sky, he'd intended to spend the rest of his immortal life training new heros at camp half blood. That was the plan, until something happened to the tree that was once the daughter of Zeus. Once more Odysseus finds himself tagging along with Percy and friends on a quest not not only to save the tree and the Camp itself , but also find a certain satyr that has gone missing. All the while trying to ignore a certain pair of God brothers who are trying to get his attention.

Percy doesn’t check behind him as he weaves through the aisles of the flower shop, not even when someone yells at him to stop running — no thanks! —, but he soon realizes it was a very bad idea to run inside because now he’s looking at a wall filled with flower arrangements and no way out.
There’s sounds of running steps behind him and he grabs a vase of flowers before turning back around, ready to throw it at the crazy woman who tried to say she’s his mom, only to spot her stopping a few feet away from him with a pained gasp — there’s something shiny sliding right through the middle of her chest — and then exploding into golden dust.
